[edit] Discuss the merits, goals and deliverables for Voice tier 2 and 3 topics
Coverage map exchange has been moved to tier 1. There was good conversation on this topic with many carriers viewing this as a critical priority. Carriers want to see a coverage website similar to the GSMA site but more functional. See attachment for further detail.
Deliverables have been identified for each topic. See spreadsheet for details.
No carrier voiced concern over a vendor taking the lead on a technical item. Direction will still be given by carriers but will come from the group as a whole if no carrier lead is identified. This should be further discussed in the carrier only session of the IRT to ensure this is in fact the feeling of the majority of the group.
[edit] Solidify Voice tiers 2 and 3 priorities
Further tiers will not be prioritized until more feedback is received from carriers. Libby to send survey of lower tiers again with more detail on deliverables included. CDG Carrier Relations Managers to follow up with carriers on an individual basis to ensure all carriers, who wish to be represented, are represented. Please see attachment for notes on deliverables. Survey format to follow shortly.
[edit] Assign ownership for Voice tier 2 priorities
Some additional assignments were made but majority will wait until prioritization of lower tiers has been done and progress has been made on tier 1 items.
[edit] Other business
- Voice and SMS Working Group will have a face to face meeting the day before the March IRT in Cabo San Lucas. The meeting will be the morning of March 21. Agenda is TBD. If you already know you will attend please email Libby at lmackay@qualcomm.com.
- My apologies for the team receiving the meeting maker responses from all who respond. The nature of the list is such that if you respond to something from the list it goes to all recipients. I will adjust to deal with this for meeting makers so this will stop.
- If you are not receiving these notes directly from the IRT-VS-WG address you are not on the team list. To join the team please send me your request. lmackay@qualcomm.com.
[edit] Next meeting
February 8/9, 2006. Meeting invite and agenda will be sent the week of January 30.
Main topics of conversation:
- Progress on tier 1 topics for both voice and SMS. Leads should be prepared to give updates and address the group with any items that need direction or group discussion.
- Standardized TDS progress update
