[edit] Discussion

[edit] General

  • The participants confirmed this SLA covers voice and SMS roaming, not data roaming.
  • Carriers agreed the SLA should be an amendment or addendum to doc 44 rather than a separate document. Carriers do not want to have to renegotiate the contract to add this amendment.
    • Action: Kyoko to revise the SLA to make it as addendum to doc 44.

[edit] Section 3. Billing and Section 5. Trouble Shooting

  • The agreement should clarify what the contact points are by service type (such as voice contacts, SMS contacts) when they are given to help partners know who to contact for what.
    • Action: Kyoko to add the contact points for SMS as well as Voice.

[edit] Section 5. Trouble Shooting

  • Verizon Wireless requested that partners send an acknowledgement of the receipt of a trouble inquiry. Carriers to agree to add the recommendation clause.
    • Action: Kyoko to draft the language for recommendation clause.
  • Carriers agreed to add business hours to the contact information on emails discussing service issues. Business hours will also go in the trouble shooting section of the SLA. Carriers commented that they wish everyone had 24x7 trouble resolution hours but since they don't we should clarify what the hours are.
    • Action: Kyoko to add the business hour in the contact information.

[edit] Clause B

  • SprintNextel and Mobile-8 preferred to change the whole paragraph as follows:
"Both Parties shall make commercially reasonable efforts to resolve sixty (60) percent of the problems within two (2) days, eighty (80) percent (%) of the problems within three (3) days and the remaining within four(4) to five(5) business days from the time when the problem is reported to Serving Carrier."
  • Most carriers at Americas Call, KDDI and HT Mobile preferred to have the original clause.
    • Decision & Action: To keep the current clause B. SprintNextel and Mobile-8 to check internally and provide input if there is any.
