[edit] Discussion

  • The team reviewed the agenda and carrier preparation for the Tampa VSWG.
    • The carrier preperation document details what preparation is required by carriers in order to be ready for the face to face VSWG meeting in Tampa - Please use this document to prepare for the working group. Having this material on hand and completed will allow for more productive discussion during the face to face meeting.
  • Reviewed functionality of the new tool including how to access the tool - https://www.cdg.org/roamingteam
    • This is a free tool for all CDMA 2000 carriers to exchange critical roaming information in a secure and efficient manner.
    • See presentation Click_to_view_or_edit_the_discussion_page.gif for a complete list of completed enhancements. High points are:
      • adding carrier profiles
      • increasing the number of company points of contact
      • created easier ways to contact file owners
      • several additional security features have been added
    • Additional suggestions
      • Create the ability to run a report so a company can see who they have granted permission to by service type. For example, I could run a report showing me all the carriers that have access to my voice documents, my SMS documents or my packet data documents.
      • Add a link to the CDG document for each category
      • Allow carriers to grant permission to non carriers to view their documents. Which company sees which documents is always controlled by the carrier that owns that document. VeriSign plans to encourage their customers to utilize this tool.
      • Include a help link

[edit] Decisions made on discussion items

  • Non carriers will be allowed to access and use C-RIET.

[edit] Next Steps

  • The CRIET beta trial Click_to_view_or_edit_the_discussion_page.gifis going on now and is open to all carriers.
    • Please provide feedback to me by June 27.
    • Planned commercial launch of this tool is early July.
    • Please access the Beta Trial document posted on CRIET for more detail.
