ARPU – Average Revenue Per User

The amount of revenue generated per user per month. This is a financial metric commonly used by operators to track financial performance, and compare themselves with competitors and industry norms. International roaming customers are typically high ARPU customers, which are important to operators since, not only do they generate more revenue than average customers, but they typically provide higher margin on this revenue as well.
