Authorization

Process of verifying that a roamer is allowed to use the serving network and allowed to access particular features. Authorization is an aspect of service qualification that deals with financial accountability. While the goal of authentication is to ensure that a device or user is legitimate, the goal of authorization may be viewed as determining whether the legitimate user is allowed to access the service they are requesting.
