BID – Billing Identification
The BID is used for billing and accounting purposes. It either segments a carrier's subscriber base, or further segments a geographic area defined by a SID. Similar to a SID, a BID is a five digit decimal number. The BID may be 15 or 16 bits in length. It is not transmitted over the air interface, and is not used in any internetwork signaling. BID values are assigned and maintained by Cibernet.
Note that the BID is different from the BillingID (BILLID) used in TIA-41.
