This document is being developed by the joint GSMNA-CDG MMS team and builds on the previous 3G Americas and CTIA inter-carrier guideline efforts.

[edit] How does this document relate to MMS CAT efforts?

Since the IRT had already developed CRX requirements for roaming, the CDG MMS team made a request to the IRT to identify additional requirements for CRXs to support inter-carrier MMS. The IRT established the MMS CRX and Addressing Taskforce (MMS CAT) in response to that request.
