CDR – Call Detail Record

a.k.a. Call Detail Recording, Station Message Detail Recording (SMDR)

A record generated by an MSC that provides details of a voice call. The format of a CDR is typically proprietary to the operator. CDRs are unrated (i.e., provide usage information, but not the monetary value of that usage). CDRs for roamers must be rated and then converted to CIBER record format before being exchanged with roaming partners.
