Clearinghouse
a.k.a. Settlement and exchange service provider.
An entity that acts as an Authorized Receipt Point (ARP) for a roaming operator to receive billing records on behalf of that operator for purposes of settlement and exchange with the operator’s roaming partners. A clearinghouse may provide wholesale and retail rating of billing records, as well as financial net settlement (i.e., the actual exchange of funds among roaming partners).
